Terms of Service
Last updated 6 October 2026.
These are the terms for using BuilderNiche, software for running building jobs at builderniche.com, built and operated by Southern Tradesman Company. By creating an account or signing in, you agree to them.
The service
BuilderNiche lets a building company manage jobs, schedules, budgets, documents, leads and the trades it books, and lets it give scoped access to homeowners and subcontractors. What any one login can see and do is controlled by the company that created it.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your login — keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has it. A company’s owner is responsible for who they give access to and what they are given access to.
Data you put in belongs to you and your company. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising — see the privacy page for the full detail of what is stored and why.
Acceptable use
Use BuilderNiche for running a legitimate building business. Do not use it to store or send anything unlawful, to try to break or bypass its security, or to access another company’s data by any route other than one it granted you.
Fees
Current pricing is shown on our website, builderniche.com, where a company manages its subscription. A new company gets a 21-day free trial. We will tell you before any change to what you are charged takes effect.
Ending an account
You can delete your own login, or an owner can delete the whole company, at any time — see deleting your account for what that actually does. If a subscription is cancelled or ends, the account is paused and its records are kept for 12 months — an owner can ask for 7 days of read-only access to download them — and then deleted. We can suspend or end an account that violates these terms or the acceptable use above, and will tell you why.
No warranty, limited liability
BuilderNiche is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, BuilderNiche is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using it — a missed job deadline is the building company’s to manage, the same as it would be with a paper schedule.
SMS Terms
BuilderNiche sends text messages for two operational reasons, never for marketing:
- Telling a subcontractor who has opted in to job texts from BuilderNiche about jobs they are booked on — a new booking, changed dates, or a cancellation. These texts come from BuilderNiche (Southern Tradesman Company), never from the building company that booked the job, which a message names only as the job it is for.
- Asking an account owner to approve a temporary support session, with a one-time link, when their phone number is on file.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies — it depends on how often you are booked onto jobs or how often a support session needs approving, not a fixed schedule.
Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts from BuilderNiche. Reply HELP for help, or contact support@builderniche.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your mobile information and messaging consent are not shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and everyone with a login is told.
