BuilderNiche is scheduling, documents and budgets for residential builders. If something is not working, or you want it to do something it does not, write to support@builderniche.com and a person will answer.

If it is urgent — a schedule that will not load with trades turning up tomorrow — say so in the subject line.

Already signed in? The Help Center inside the app — under Help in the account menu — has short step-by-step guides for every screen, in English and Spanish.

Getting started

Getting an account. A company signs up on our website, builderniche.com, and gets a 21-day free trial. The owner then adds everyone else — staff, trades and homeowners — from the People page, and each of them gets an email to set up their own login. If you work for a builder already using BuilderNiche, ask them to add you.

You cannot sign in. Use forgotten your password and follow the link that arrives. If nothing arrives, check spam, then write to us — an address can be wrong by one letter in a way nobody notices for months.

On your phone

The iPhone app. BuilderNiche is on the App Store — search for “BuilderNiche”, install it, and sign in with the same email and password you use on the website. Everything you do in one shows up in the other.

Notifications are not arriving. Open BuilderNiche, go to Settings and turn phone notifications on, and allow them when your iPhone asks. If you said no to that question earlier, turn them back on in the iPhone’s own Settings app under Notifications → BuilderNiche.

Location at clock-in. Refusing it is fine and your hours still record normally. BuilderNiche takes a single position at the moment you clock in or out and never follows anyone around; the privacy page sets out exactly what is stored.

Your data

Everything is backed up daily, and encrypted copies are kept off-site. If you have deleted something you needed, write to us the same day — the sooner you ask, the more likely it is still in a backup.

To close your account, see deleting your account. You can do it yourself, from inside the app, without asking anyone.

Who runs this

BuilderNiche is built and run by Southern Tradesman Company, a residential builder in Tennessee, for its own jobs first. That is the reason it works the way it does.
